Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as an Entry Level Line Cook, where your enthusiasm for food and eagerness to learn will shine! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You’ll assist in preparing delicious meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall culinary operations. Whether you’re passionate about food preparation, honing knife skills, or exploring various cooking techniques, this position is perfect for those ready to kick-start their culinary journey and contribute to memorable dining experiences.

Duties

Assist in food preparation by following recipes and ensuring consistent quality across dishes
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and food production appliances safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation by adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices
Support meal assembly and plating to meet presentation standards in a timely manner
Help with inventory management, including organizing ingredients and supplies for smooth kitchen operations
Follow food safety management protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
Participate in menu planning discussions and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials based on culinary trends and customer preferences

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong interest in culinary arts is essential
Familiarity with food industry standards such as food safety, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques
Basic knife skills and knowledge of cooking methods including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
Experience with high-volume production environments or catering is a plus
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a focus on quality and safety standards
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new skills in a fast-paced setting
Previous dietary aide experience or dietary department experience is advantageous but not mandatory
