Full Job Description

Chaupain Bakery is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead operations at our Laguna Niguel location. This role is ideal for a hands‑on hospitality leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, service‑driven environment and who can balance people leadership, operational excellence, and financial accountability.

The Store Manager is fully responsible for the day‑to‑day success of the store, setting the tone for exceptional guest experiences while maintaining strong operational, labor, and cost controls. You will lead by example, develop your team, and serve as the face of the Chaupain brand in the community.

Qualifications:

5+ years restaurant management experience (fast‑casual or casual dining)
Strong understanding of labor control, inventory, and P&L management
Proven team leader with great communication and coaching skills
Guest‑first mindset with a hands‑on leadership style
Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling, and Microsoft Office
Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Lead day‑to‑day café operations, including opening/closing and cash controls
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and retain hourly team members
Maintain high standards for customer service, food quality, and cleanliness
Manage labor, inventory, ordering, and cost controls to meet financial goals
Oversee payroll, bank deposits, and operational reporting
Address customer concerns professionally (including online reviews)
Partner effectively with BOH to ensure smooth service
Lead by example on the floor during peak hours
Any and all other duties as assigned.
