Full Job Description

Snapshot: At Winn-Dixie, our Meat Department is not just about cutting meats; it's about creating delicious dinners, moments that matter. As a Meat Cutter, you’ll have the opportunity to strengthen your knowledge, inspire excellence in service, and make every workday a winning occasion!

***This is a floater role that will service multiple locations, which will require travel within 40 miles of the location.***

*** Prior meat cutting / butchering experience processing all primary proteins (beef, pork, poultry, etc.) is required. ***

What You'll Do:

Process fresh meats, smoked meats, seafood, random weight, lunchmeat, frozen food, and salted meats to production standards.
Prepares and cuts all varieties of meat while operating tools safely.
Cube, slice, grind meat and wrap, weigh and price product as needed.
Receive/breakdown meat deliveries to stock and rotate department products.
Provide continuous attention to customer needs; offer helpful product suggestions when appropriate in a courteous and friendly manner.
Assists in other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

Consistent track record of relevant experience.
Operate department equipment and tools.
Successful completion of pre-employment screenings.
High School Diploma or equivalent, with bilingual skills in English and Spanish as a plus.
