Receptionist/Order Entry

This position in a Non-Exempt position

Reports to

Office Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Receptionist/Order Entry position requires you to enter orders from our customers into various software programs, answering all incoming calls and greeting any visitors. Email customers to arrange pickup of completed orders.

Essential Functions

Enter orders from our customers into various software programs in the computer system. Orders are sent to you from our salesperson throughout the day.
Responsible for answering all incoming calls and greeting any visitors.
Notify customer order is ready for pickup. Complete paperwork.
Performs general housekeeping and organization of the office area.

Work Enviroment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee can be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment and job sites is low. High temperatures for short periods of time.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, and sitting all day. The employee may lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Summer hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Winter hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm 40 hours per week.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 1 year in office/clerical environment.
Typing in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience with Microsoft Office software applications.
Experience with UPS/Fedex shipping systems.
