Job Description:

Are you a friendly and enthusiastic individual with a passion for both customer service and coffee? Join our team at Homemade with Love Concha Café as a Cashier/Barista, where you'll play a dual role in providing exceptional service and crafting delicious beverages for our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Warmly greet customers, assist with inquiries, and provide information about our menu offerings with a smile.

2. Order Processing: Efficiently process customer orders using our point-of-sale system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

3. Cash Handling: Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions securely, reconciling sales at the end of each shift.

4. Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with our concha and beverage menu, making recommendations and upselling additional items to enhance the customer experience.

5. Barista Duties: Skillfully prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup.

6. Beverage Presentation: Pay attention to beverage presentation and garnishing, maintaining the high standard of quality and aesthetics.

7. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized cashier and barista station, including restocking supplies and keeping the area tidy throughout the shift.

8. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.

Requirements:

1. Customer-Focused: Friendly and personable demeanor with a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.

2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent verbal communication skills in both languages.

3. Attention to Detail: Ability to process transactions accurately and prepare beverages with precision, maintaining a focus on quality and consistency.

4. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask during peak periods.

5. Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling scheduled shifts and responsibilities.

6. Previous Experience: Prior experience in customer service and/or barista roles is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates with a strong interest in coffee and willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

A love for Conchas and coffee.

An excellent fit with our company values.

An active cell phone and gmail account.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Current Food Handlers card or ServSafe Certification.

18 years or older

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications:
