Full Job Description

Coleman Health Services is a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community. We are seeking a Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist to provide peer support services in Auglaize County, Ohio. The Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist provides guidance, hope and support towards recovery through personal experience and growth on a reciprocal basis. Position pays $19 an hour!

Duties Include:

Mentor and assist youth and families through mental health crises and restore calm within the family
Assist in identifying resources, supports and services based on youth and family needs
Function as part of an interdisciplinary team and develop and maintain effective relationships with community professionals

Minimum Requirements:

Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Certified Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services or willing to obtain this certification (we will assist!)
Have lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child who has been involved with behavioral healthcare services
Have and maintain an excellent driving record
Must be willing to complete and have favorable results for criminal background check, drug screening, and driving check if selected for the position
