As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Sys Admin) at the GS-2210-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Managing a full range of cybersecurity and IT-related services, operations and projects.
- Implementing secure IT solutions, developing and testing the systems contingency security plans and disaster recovery procedures, assessing IT systems risks and identifying and correcting cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
- Working with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations.
- Promoting awareness of security issues among management and ensuring sound security principles are reflected in organization's visions and goals.

Physical Demands - The work is primarily sedentary with some slight physical effort, such as walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or lifting of moderately heavy items, such as computer, printer, desk top scanner may be required. Work Environment - The work is typically performed in an office setting. The work area is adequately lit, heated, cooled, and ventilated. The work requires frequent travel, up to 33 percent of the time, to visit project sites and conduct customer services.
You may qualify at the GS-2210-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
Specialized Experience: Must have one year (52 weeks) of full-time specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal service performing the following duties:
1. Providing technical advice, guidance, and assistance on critical IT security issues;
2. Managing a secure IT program consistent with organizational guidelines and standards; and
3. Applying knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools to develop, schedule, coordinate, and manage projects and resources, such as monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.

Basic Requirement: In addition to the Specialized Experience above, you must meet the basic requirements for the Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 as described below.
