Position Summary
The Factory Support Manager serves as the critical link between Design Integration and Manufacturing, ensuring projects transition seamlessly from design into production. This role leads the Factory Support team and is responsible for supporting design intent, means and methods of assembly, compliance reviews, resolving production issues, managing shop drawing and document control processes, and driving continuous improvement through Rise Execution Standards (RES).
Success in this role requires strong construction and manufacturing knowledge, exceptional cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for improving quality, efficiency, and standardization throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Manufacturing Integration

Serve as the primary liaison between Design Integration, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality.

Review project drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure manufacturing readiness.

Identify design improvements that enhance Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).

Evaluate opportunities for preassembly and prefabrication to improve production efficiency.

Coordinate mock-ups and identify unique installation requirements before production begins.
Manufacturing Support

Lead the Factory Support team and provide technical guidance to production.

Support manufacturing by resolving drawing interpretation, installation, and construction-related issues.

Manage shop drawing release schedules, revision control, and document distribution.

Oversee Manufacturing Deviation Requests (MDRs) and coordinate timely issue resolution.

Conduct routine manufacturing floor support and compliance reviews.

Partner with Procurement to resolve material-related issues and support sourcing decisions.

Collaborate with QA/QC to identify and resolve production quality concerns.
Rise Execution Standards (RES)
-
Lead the development and maintenance of Rise Execution Standards.

Facilitate cross-functional teams to establish standardized construction methods and installation practices.

Develop, organize, approve, and maintain RES documentation, technical details, and execution manuals.

Drive standardization and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Lead, coach, and develop the Factory Support team through performance management and employee development.

Promote collaboration between Design, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams.

Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce rework, and increase productivity.

Establish and monitor key performance metrics related to drawing accuracy, document control, manufacturing support, and execution standards.
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

7+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, modular construction, engineering, production support, or design integration.

Experience interpreting architectural, structural, MEP, and shop drawings.

Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and manufacturing processes.

Experience managing technical documentation, drawing revisions, and document control.

Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and solving complex production issues.

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Preferred
-
Experience with modular, prefabricated, or off-site construction.

Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
-
Experience with Revit, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or BIM/VDC software.
-
Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Epicor Kinetic.
-
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.

Experience developing work instructions, execution standards, or technical manuals.
Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by:

Timely and accurate release of shop drawings to manufacturing.

Reduction in production delays related to drawing or documentation issues.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 – $110,000(Annually). Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Rise Modular’s Total Rewards package for employees.
