Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, particularly with seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the client's condition using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication management.
Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe living environment.
Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other developmental disabilities.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Requirements

Previous experience in home health, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation is beneficial.
Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in caregiving or home health aide training are a plus.
Ability to work independently while providing compassionate care to clients.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate record keeping is advantageous.
