Full Job Description

Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Roll-Off Driver and become a vital part of our waste management and recycling operations! In this energetic role, you will operate specialized roll-off trucks to transport, load, and unload large waste containers efficiently and safely. Your expertise in commercial driving, route navigation, and truck operation will ensure timely service delivery while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and contribute to environmentally responsible waste disposal solutions.

Duties

Safely operate roll-off trucks equipped with hydraulic lift systems to load and unload large dumpsters and containers
Drive assigned routes confidently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load, secure, and transport freight containers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks as needed
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety and compliance with company policies
Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and fuel consumption
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered during shifts
Assist with loading or unloading materials manually or using equipment like forklifts when necessary

Experience

Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks in a delivery or transportation setting
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not mandatory for some roles
Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and ability to operate them safely
Prior experience with route driving involving freight delivery across diverse locations
Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving, load securing, and vehicle maintenance
Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting heavy containers or freight when required
Experience working with specialized equipment such as forklifts or hydraulic lifts is a plus
