Kitchen Crew Member | Alamo Drafthouse Springfield | Starting at $18 an hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Our Kitchen team is the heartbeat of our theater. As a line cook in the Alamo Kitchen, you’re responsible for the preparation of food by following our high standards and recipes. A successful line cook will ensure that everything is in order – from the prepping of stations to maintaining a clean kitchen. You’ll be responsible for preparing our delicious recipes and plating them for presentation to our theater guests as the cherry on top to their awesome Alamo experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain all safety standards
Is knowledgeable about Alamo policies and procedures
Participates in all safety related policies and procedures
Is not pulled to run food, drinks, or manage guest relations
Cleaning and sanitizing the following (but not limited to) areas: Countertops, Prep stations, Kitchen, DishCleaning and sanitizing the following (but not limited to) areas: Countertops, Prep stations, Kitchen, Dish
Work safely and quickly to ensure your culinary component is delivered timely and accurately every time.
Stock and organize your area, prep any items needed for service, and complete food orders for our guests
Make food that looks and tastes delicious with high-quality ingredients
Demonstrated food-handling techniques, knife skills, and how to use kitchen equipment.
Deep cleans and sanitizes all areas of the kitchen constantly
Supports cleaning, trash gathering, and making our guests feel clean and safe
Maintains and uses proper chemical safety
Works through daily, brand standard sanitizing checklist

QUALIFICATIONS

A really great attitude, and the ability to share that attitude with the guests and team working with you to achieve the best Alamo experience for All.
Be a movie lover, cinema goer, and have an understanding in the Alamo for All experience.
Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment is required
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment.
Experience of at least 6 months in a high-volume kitchen environment
Demonstrated food-handling techniques, knife skills, and how to use kitchen equipment.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions, read recipes, and perform recipe conversions
You know and continue to adhere to all applicable state health compliance requirements (including getting licenses/certifications where applicable)
Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekend, and shifts from morning through late night.
Comfortable with wearing a cloth or face-covering, gloves, goggles, and personal protective body covering at all times.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
