Full Job Description

The Wealth Advisor is responsible for building trusted client relationships and delivering comprehensive, holistic financial guidance to individuals, families, and business owners. This role develops customized strategies across financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, risk management, tax-aware strategies, estate planning coordination, multi-generational wealth transfer, and wealth preservation. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with consultative relationship skills, a long-term planning mindset, and a commitment to acting in the client's best interest.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients through regular communication, discovery conversations, and personalized financial advice.
Create comprehensive financial plans that align with each client's goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, cash flow needs, and family priorities.
Recommend and monitor investment strategies, asset allocation, and portfolio adjustments based on client objectives and market conditions.
Coordinate with internal specialists and external professionals, including attorneys, accountants, insurance professionals, and trust officers, to support integrated wealth planning.
Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through retirement planning, estate planning, tax-aware strategies, charitable giving, lending, insurance, and business succession planning.
Prospect and cultivate new client relationships through referrals, centers of influence, networking, and community engagement.
Prepare and deliver client presentations, portfolio reviews, financial planning updates, and recommendations in a clear and professional manner.
Stay current on financial markets, investment products, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Maintain accurate client records and ensure all activities comply with firm policies, regulatory standards, and fiduciary obligations.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory services, private banking, or a related financial services role.
Active or ability to obtain required securities and advisory licenses, such as Series 7, Series 65, or Series 66, as applicable.
Strong understanding of financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, estate planning concepts, insurance, tax-aware planning, and risk management.
Demonstrated ability to build client relationships, identify needs, and deliver tailored recommendations.
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
High ethical standards, sound judgment, discretion, and commitment to client confidentiality.

Preferred

Certified Financial Planner designation, Chartered Financial Analyst designation, Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation, or similar professional credential.
Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, executives, or retirees.
Established referral network or demonstrated success in business development.
Experience using financial planning, CRM, portfolio management, or client reporting software.
