Duties:
- Operate paving equipment such as screeds, pavers, loaders, and lay asphalt and concrete efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites by spreading materials, shoveling asphalt or concrete, and ensuring proper placement.
- Perform routine maintenance on heavy machinery and paving equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow safety regulations including DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, site-specific safety protocols, and general construction safety practices.
- Measure and calculate materials using basic math skills to ensure correct quantities for paving projects.
- Support rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete pumping activities as needed on the job site.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and clearing debris while adhering to construction site procedures.
Experience
- Prior experience working on civil infrastructure projects involving asphalt paving or concrete installation is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy construction machinery such as pavers, screeds, concrete mixers, and other paving equipment.
- Knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with bituminous materials, concrete components, rebar installation, and concrete pumping processes.
- Understanding of safety regulations including DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and construction site safety protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in outdoor environments for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.

Pay: From $22.00-$27.00 per hour
Hours: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
