What we are looking for:
indiGO Auto Group is seeking a full-time Social Media Coordinator to manage the organic social presence of every dealership and corporate account in Southern California. This role combines multi-account content planning, copywriting, publishing, community engagement, event coverage, and general analytics reporting in a collaborative luxury automotive environment.
This is what we offer:
- Opportunity to work in a cohesive and supportive team environment
- Comprehensive insurance plans - medical, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings account, and flexible savings account
- 401(k) plus match
- Unlimited professional training opportunities
- Paid vacation days, sick days, and holidays
- Opportunity for advancement in a growing company
- Brand new, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment
Here is what an ordinary day of work may look like:
- Own day-to-day organic social operations for all Southern California dealership and corporate accounts across approved platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok where active, and future approved channels.
- Maintain accurate, brand-consistent profile names, biographies, links, contact information, profile images, cover images, and other routine account settings using approved source information.
- Develop monthly content calendars and publishing schedules aligned with approved company, OEM, dealership, campaign, community, and event priorities.
- Document requests, source assets, deadlines, review status, holds, and material priority changes in the approved project-management platform; surface unresolved conflicts to the Digital Marketing Manager.
- Write, edit, and adapt platform-appropriate copy to indiGO, dealership, and OEM brand voices while maintaining a professional and engaging tone.
- Prepare platform-ready content using approved assets, practical mobile capture, and basic photo or short-form video editing; add captions, transcripts, meaningful alt text, and readable on-screen text where supported.
- Apply social-discoverability practices to captions, titles, descriptions, hashtags, tagging, and video metadata, coordinating with the SEO Specialist when useful.
- Route every planned post through the established project-management review workflow, incorporate timely feedback, and publish routine content after the review window unless a hold has been placed.
- Verify dates, links, tags, source accuracy, permissions, and required promotional details or disclaimers before publication; visually QA published content and correct routine issues promptly.
- Monitor assigned social accounts during scheduled working hours and respond professionally to routine comments and direct messages.
- Document and promptly escalate complaints, threats, legal or safety concerns, media inquiries, sensitive customer issues, and other high-risk interactions before providing a substantive response.
- Acknowledge and route sensitive matters to the appropriate dealership manager and Digital Marketing Manager, prepare draft responses when requested, and publish only after required approval.
- Coordinate handoff when a social interaction becomes a formal customer-service or reputation matter; the Digital Marketing Specialist retains ownership of formal review-platform responses and local listings.
- Prepare social coverage plans for dealership and community events, documenting the brief, platforms, timing, available assets, live-posting needs, coverage responsibilities, and post-event deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with content creators and photographers without assigning or supervising their work; identify missing coverage or assets early and escalate gaps.
- Attend scheduled regional events and dealership activations, capture timely mobile or live content when appropriate, and publish approved post-event content.
- Maintain organized, searchable, and appropriately backed-up regional social assets in the approved shared-storage system.
- Prepare monthly general analytics reporting on account and content performance, notable trends, significant changes, completed work, and recommended next actions.
- Use available performance insights to recommend practical adjustments to content mix, timing, formats, and audience engagement without guaranteeing fixed growth outcomes.
- Monitor platform changes, emerging formats, audience behaviors, and relevant cultural trends; recommend selective opportunities that fit brand and customer standards.
- Support execution of approved influencer, creator, user-generated-content, contest, and giveaway programs through timing, permissions, tagging, publishing, and reporting.
- Follow approved company, OEM, platform, copyright, music, consent, privacy, accessibility, and brand guidance; escalate uncertain usage rights or policy questions.
- Maintain accurate account-access records, follow approved credential and multifactor-authentication practices, and promptly report suspicious activity, lockouts, or possible compromise.
- Request approval before granting or removing administrator access or making material account-ownership and security changes.
- Participate in recurring planning and performance meetings with the Digital Marketing Manager, regional marketing partners, dealership leaders, and approved external partners as needed.
The opportunity is for you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or comparable education.
- Experience supporting luxury automotive, dealership, hospitality, luxury retail, lifestyle, publishing, agency, or other multi-location brands.
- Portfolio or work samples demonstrating brand-account management, caption writing, calendars, short-form or video content, or reporting.
- Experience with advanced creative-production tools, professional photography or videography, motion graphics, or more complex editing.
- Experience with social discoverability, events, influencer or creator programs, user-generated content, contests, or giveaways.
Pay Range for this role is: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
