Greet & Gather is growing, and we are looking for the right person to join our team.
We are a family-owned home décor and gift shop located in downtown Park Rapids, MN. Our store is known for beautiful home décor and thoughtful gifts, furniture pieces, and carefully styled displays that help customers create warm, meaningful spaces in their homes.
We are looking for someone who has a natural eye for design, enjoys helping people, and can create a welcoming, high-touch shopping experience for every customer who walks through our doors. An interior design background or love for interior design to go to site visits and help customers decorate and style their homes.
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who loves home décor, interior styling, gift-giving, and working with people. The right candidate will help customers find meaningful gifts, offer styling ideas, assist with store displays, support product sales, and help maintain the beautiful and inviting atmosphere Greet & Gather is known for.
Interior design experience is preferred, but not required. A portfolio of previous design, styling, merchandising, or creative work is preferred, but not required.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, thoughtful, high-level customer service
- Help customers select gifts, home décor, greeting cards, furniture pieces, and seasonal accents
- Offer basic styling and design suggestions for homes, lake homes, tablescapes, shelves, rooms, and gathering spaces
- Assist with visual merchandising, store displays, product placement, and seasonal resets
- Stay current on home décor, color, furniture, and design trends
- Help customers understand how pieces can work together in their own spaces
- On site visits to help customers style their spaces
- Support sales of products and services in a warm, natural, non-pushy way
- Work well with the team and contribute to a positive store environment
- Help keep the store clean, organized, styled, and customer-ready
- Assist with day-to-day business operations as needed

- A natural eye for design, styling, color, texture, and space
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- The ability to sell products and services with confidence and care
- Strong attention to detail
- A basic understanding of spatial planning and how furniture, décor, and accessories work together
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to find creative solutions
- The ability to stay calm, patient, and professional in busy or stressful moments
- A willingness to keep up with current design and home décor trends
- Leadership qualities and the ability to take initiative
- The ability to work well with others
- An interest in business, retail, merchandising, and customer experience
Preferred, But Not Required
- Interior design experience
- Retail sales experience
- Visual merchandising experience
- Home décor, furniture, or gift shop experience
- A portfolio showing design, styling, decorating, merchandising, or creative work
- Experience helping customers with room styling, furniture placement, table settings, seasonal décor, or gift selection
