Overview
We're seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy Senior Accountant to work on-site. We're looking for someone who learns quickly, applies sound judgment, and takes ownership of financial tasks with accuracy and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile all general ledger accounts for Telaré Law and two additional related companies
- Monitor and manage cash flow on a daily basis and generate cash flow reports
- Oversee and execute month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Generate financial statements and create additional financial reports as required
- Shared responsibilities for accounts payable
- Administration of 401(k) Plan
- Reconcile client trust accounts to trust funds
- Process payroll and ensure all payroll GL accounts are accurate
- Register with Department of Revenue and Unemployment Divisions in various states as we expand our remote workforce
- Work with clients to set up blocked bank accounts for minor children receiving settlements
- Maintain mastery of all accounting department processes to ensure cross-training
- Monitor business insurance and coordinate renewals with brokers
- Respond to local, state, and federal government inquiries and ensure all licenses remain current
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience); bachelor's degree preferred
- College-level accounting coursework required
- 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and financial reporting
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Solid knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with accounting, payroll, and financial management systems
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
- Background in a law firm or small business setting
- Experience with multi-state payroll and tax registration, given our growing remote workforce
- Familiarity with trust accounting requirements and client fund handling
- Experience supporting or working alongside HR on payroll-related compliance matters
Compensation: $80,000–$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications
