Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) Field Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic security systems across various client sites. Your expertise will ensure the integrity and functionality of security solutions such as alarm systems, access control, CCTV, sensors, and other low-voltage electrical systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse environments, providing essential security solutions that protect assets and enhance safety.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure electronic security systems including alarm & access control systems, CCTV surveillance, sensors, and fire alarm systems in accordance with schematics and technical drawings.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of security equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to low-voltage electrical wiring, computer hardware, networking, and system design; perform repairs using hand tools and power tools.
- Interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to accurately install or modify security infrastructure.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for system malfunctions or failures in physical security systems and network connectivity.
- Assist with cabling, wiring, and integration of door security systems with existing infrastructure.
- Document all service activities thoroughly and communicate technical findings clearly to clients and team members.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in field service environments.
- Proficiency with computer hardware, remote access software, telecommunication systems, and network troubleshooting.
- Understanding of RF and/or AM EAS technology
- Expertise in electrical security system installation—including low-voltage electrical wiring—and reading electrical schematics or blueprints.
- Knowledge of IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), CCTV cameras, sensors, alarm & access control systems, and surveillance technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues related to fire alarms, door security integration, cabling, and low-voltage electrical wiring.
- Experience with construction sites or similar environments is a plus for understanding system design in complex settings.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Familiarity with technical troubleshooting support for security system sales or upgrades is advantageous.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
