Full Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Receiver at Cescaphe Event Group is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt of goods and materials necessary for the successful execution of events. This part-time position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the event operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Ensure all received goods are in good condition and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate department.
Maintain organized and accurate records of received items and update inventory systems accordingly.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any issues related to deliveries.
Assist in the organization and storage of received goods in designated areas.
Collaborate with the event operations team to ensure timely availability of materials for upcoming events.
Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding health and safety standards during the receiving process.
Provide support in inventory audits and cycle counts as needed.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:

Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the events or hospitality industry.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 pounds, safely and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and vendors.
Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
