Full Job Description

Super-Natural Eats, LLC is hiring Line Cooks to support food service operations at a U.S. Army Dining Facility located at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position supports a federal government contract providing meal preparation services for military personnel in a structured dining facility environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for cooks who enjoy consistent daytime hours, a professional kitchen environment, and stable scheduling.

Period of Performance

This position supports a temporary government contract expected to run from April 1, 2026 through October 1, 2026.

Employment is contingent upon each person gaining base access.

Schedule

Day shift: approximately 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Shifts will be staggered)
Monday – Friday
Approximately 110 operational days during the contract period
Schedule may adjust slightly depending on military training schedules

Compensation

Total compensation starting at $23.93 per hour

This position is part of a federal Service Contract Act (SCA) contract, which requires employers to provide a Health & Welfare (H&W) fringe benefit for hourly employees.

Total hourly compensation includes:

Base hourly wage = $18.38
Federal Health & Welfare fringe benefit (currently $5.55 per hour for every hour worked)

Further details regarding pay structure and benefits (holiday pay) will be provided during onboarding.

Responsibilities

Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and production schedules
Assist with preparation and service of breakfast and lunch meals
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards during food preparation and service
Assist with setup and replenishment of serving lines
Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen work areas
Support general kitchen operations including cleaning and food storage procedures

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have:

Previous experience as a commercial or institutional kitchen cook or high-volume kitchens
Have a valid ServSafe certificate
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds

Additional Requirements

All employees must be able to:

Meet Fort Carson installation access requirements
Pass any required background checks for base access
Maintain professional conduct while working in a government facility

Preferred Experience

Military dining facility experience
Institutional or large-volume food service experience
ServSafe or food safety certification
