Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of dietary needs, ensuring that meals are prepared in accordance with nutritional guidelines. The Dietary Cook will play a vital role in meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment while providing delicious and nutritious meals for our clients.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to dietary guidelines and individual preferences.
Ensure all food handling and preparation practices comply with food safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning, considering nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by following proper sanitation practices.
Collaborate with dietary aides to ensure efficient meal service and presentation.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Participate in training sessions on culinary techniques, food safety, and dietary practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in dietary cooking or meal preparation.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
Culinary training or certification is a plus but not required; passion for cooking is essential.
Familiarity with dietetics and the ability to accommodate various dietary restrictions is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
