About ARCO
ARCO is a Pensacola-based manufacturer with more than 65 years of experience serving the marine, RV, automotive, commercial vehicle, and mobile-power industries.
Our product portfolio includes application-specific replacement starters, alternators, tilt-trim motors, and related engine parts, as well as our ARCO Zeus line of high-output alternators and intelligent charging solutions.
We sell through a network of distributors, dealers, OEMs, and other channel partners. Although our products are frequently purchased through distribution, the technician, installer, system designer, or other technical professional often influences which product is selected.
Position Summary
ARCO is seeking a hands-on Marketing Manager who can balance strategic thinking with practical execution. This person will manage ARCO's day-to-day marketing activities across product launches, digital marketing, website content, social media, short-form video, trade shows, distributor programs, co-op marketing, and sales support. The Marketing Manager will also help determine which initiatives are most likely to support ARCO's commercial objectives and ensure those projects are completed effectively.
We do not expect one person to be an expert in every area of marketing. We are looking for someone who is broadly capable, particularly strong in several relevant disciplines, and self-aware enough to recognize when work should be completed internally versus assigned to an outside specialist.
The successful candidate must be willing to learn ARCO's products, applications, markets, customers, and distribution channels. Previous experience in mobile power, rotating electrical products, marine, RV, automotive, or industrial markets is helpful but not required. Intellectual curiosity and a real commitment to understanding what we sell, who uses it, who influences the purchase, and how the product reaches the market are essential.
Social media and content creation are part of the job, and only part of it. The Marketing Manager must stay focused on the larger commercial objective and direct ARCO's time and marketing resources toward activities that improve product adoption, support our channel partners, strengthen our brand, and grow the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and run product launches, including product content, SKUs, barcodes, QR codes, packaging, photography, website listings, sales materials, distributor communications, and launch deadlines
- Manage ARCO's website content, email marketing, social media, and short-form video
- Develop brochures, flyers, spec sheets, booth materials, signage, and physical product demonstrations
- Plan and staff trade shows and customer events
- Support distributor programs, co-op marketing, and channel partner needs
- Produce sales support materials and campaigns tailored to distributors, dealers, technicians, and end users
- Turn engineering and product information into accurate, compelling marketing content
- Find, brief, budget, schedule, and manage designers, videographers, developers, printers, fabricators, agencies, and other contractors
- Decide which initiatives best support ARCO's commercial objectives and see them through to completion
- Use AI tools to improve research, analysis, planning, content development, organization, and workflow
What We Are Looking For
- Thinks strategically and executes tactically. Can identify what will move the business forward and personally perform the practical work needed to make it happen.
- Takes ownership. Cares about the result, follows projects through completion, notices missing details, and does not require constant direction.
- Commits to learning the product. Digs into ARCO's products, applications, technical advantages, competitors, and customer problems, even without prior industry experience.
- Understands audiences and channels. Recognizes the differences among the distributor that buys from ARCO, the dealer that resells the product, the technician who recommends or installs it, and the end user who benefits from it.
- Prioritizes commercial impact. Focuses on reaching the addressable market and supporting sales. Understands that social activity, content volume, and personal creative interests are only valuable when they produce business results.
- Has broad marketing competence with depth in several areas. Is generally capable across product marketing, digital marketing, content, website management, video, trade shows, and channel support, and especially strong in two or three of those areas.
- Uses time and money intelligently. Understands when to complete work internally and when better quality, speed, or economics justify hiring a specialist.
- Manages outside resources effectively. Can find, brief, budget, schedule, and hold accountable designers, videographers, developers, printers, fabricators, agencies, and other contractors.
- Communicates technical products clearly. Can turn engineering and product information into accurate, compelling brochures, videos, web pages, demonstrations, and campaigns for different audiences.
- Manages product launches and details. Can coordinate product content, SKUs, barcodes, QR codes, packaging, photography, website listings, sales materials, distributor communications, and launch deadlines.
- Works across digital and physical marketing. Can manage email, social media, websites, and short-form video while also developing brochures, flyers, booth materials, signage, and physical product demonstrations.
- Uses AI meaningfully and responsibly. Applies AI to research, analysis, planning, content development, organization, and workflow improvement, going well beyond image creation, and verifies its work for accuracy, confidentiality, and usefulness.
Qualifications

- Strong writing skills and the ability to explain technical products in plain language
- Experience managing outside vendors and contractors
- Experience in marine, RV, automotive, mobile power, or industrial markets is a plus but not required
