Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients across a variety of medical-surgical units. Your expertise will ensure high-quality patient outcomes through attentive assessment, precise medication administration, and compassionate support. Responsibilities

Perform thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to inform individualized care plans
Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols
Monitor patients’ conditions using telemetry and other advanced monitoring systems, responding promptly to changes or emergencies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care strategies
Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA and NCQA standards
Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, wound care, and tube feeding while maintaining sterile technique
Provide education on disease management, medication adherence, and health coaching tailored to diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with disabilities

Requirements

Valid RN license in good standing with current state requirements
Proven experience in medical-surgical nursing or related acute care settings such as ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient record management
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques
Experience working with specialized populations including long-term care residents, hospice patients, or those requiring complex pain management
Ability to perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and catheter care confidently
Critical care experience including telemetry monitoring or ICU experience is highly preferred
Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and interdisciplinary collaboration
