Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of service and care. This position involves assisting pharmacists with various tasks, managing medication inventory, and providing exceptional patient service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Proficient with PioneerRx Software
Provided excellent customer service
Proficient in typing prescriptions accurately , billing insurances, and following up with providers regarding alternative drug options, dosing changes, and PA requests
Preferred Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
Manage inventory by ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care in critical care settings.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with retail pharmacy environments and patient service principles is beneficial.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and medical terminology is an asset.
Experience in pharmacy setting environments is a plus.
Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
