Full Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Competitive Salary, 401(k), Health Insurance, PTO, Bonus

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical company accountant to join our team at Four Rivers Land & Timber Company LLC. As a senior manager, you will perform daily financial operations, maintain the general ledger, and ensure total compliance with financial regulations for the company and its subsidiaries. Your insights will directly support our leadership team in making strategic business decisions.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

Manage Ledgers: Maintain the general ledger and oversee accounts payable and receivable operations.
Depletion Tracking: Calculate and record timber depletion and reforestation capitalization.
Financial Reports: Prepare monthly financials, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the depreciation schedules for heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.
Audit & Compliance: Verify all financial records, follow standard accounting practices, rules and regulations.
Tax Filing: Help prepare federal, state, and local tax returns and payments.
Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank and intercompany account reconciliations.
Budget Tracking: Assist managers with budget preparation and department expense tracking.
Assist in evaluating investment opportunities
Other duties will be assigned as applicable

What We Look For (Requirements)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Experience: a minimum of (5) years of professional accounting experience preferred.
Tech Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. Sage preferred but not required.
Core Skills: Ability to communicate with others, high attention to detail, strong math skills, and excellent problem-solving ability.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
