Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Industrial Engineer and be at the forefront of optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing productivity, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in engineering principles, manufacturing systems, and automation to develop innovative solutions that streamline operations and elevate product quality. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will contribute to creating efficient, safe, and sustainable manufacturing environments that meet industry standards and customer expectations.

Duties

Analyze manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and industrial automation techniques.
Develop detailed project schedules to ensure timely execution of engineering initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams effectively.
Conduct root cause analysis on production issues to determine underlying problems and implement corrective actions.
Design and modify schematics, CAD drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo), and technical documentation for equipment layouts, tooling, and assembly lines.
Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robot systems, CNC machines, CAM software, and vision inspection systems to optimize automation processes.
Lead troubleshooting efforts on industrial equipment, mechanical systems, welding operations, and fabrication machinery to minimize downtime.
Manage projects related to process engineering, tooling development, industrial automation upgrades, and factory layout improvements while adhering to ISO 9001 standards.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement continuous improvement strategies such as lean management practices and waste reduction initiatives.
Oversee the integration of industrial equipment with existing systems ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Utilize engineering data analysis tools to monitor performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and support data-driven decision-making in manufacturing operations.

Skills

Strong knowledge of project scheduling tools and techniques for managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
Expertise in root cause analysis methods such as Fishbone diagrams or 5 Whys to resolve complex production issues efficiently.
Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo for designing schematics and mechanical components.
Experience programming PLCs, robotics (including robot programming), CNC machines, CAM software, and vision inspection systems for automation tasks.
Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes and associated tooling design principles.
Solid understanding of manufacturing principles including lean manufacturing practices, Six Sigma methodologies, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and process engineering.
Mechanical knowledge related to assembly line operations, fabrication techniques, tooling development, welding procedures, and industrial equipment maintenance.
Ability to analyze engineering data effectively for process optimization and troubleshooting purposes.
Knowledge of industrial automation systems integration within manufacturing environments; experience with schematics and electrical wiring diagrams is a plus.
Proven project management experience in a factory or manufacturing setting with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
