Volt is immediately hiring for a Turning Machinist in Santa Rosa, California
As a Turning Machinist , you will:
- Develop and sustain machining processes utilizing cutting-edge machine tools such as Swiss-style lathes, single- and multi-turret lathes, Wire EDM, and 3- to 5-axis milling centers.
- This position requires a machinist with a strong focus on precision, quality, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn, strong teamwork, a positive attitude, dedication, and job flexibility are essential.
- You will interface with Engineering, Maintenance, Management, and Production/NPI Schedulers
Experience with any/all the following is highly desired:
- CNC Turning
- Swiss Style Lathes
- Mill/Turn Machine Center
- Wire EDM
- Advanced Metrology
- CNC Programming/CAM Programming Software
- CAD/Solid Modeling
- Tool Grinding
- Interpreting specifications including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- High School Diploma
- Associate’s degree or Journeyman Machinist certification a plus
This is a full-time Contract opportunity. Shift: Monday- Friday, 6am – 2:30pm
Pay rate*: $37.00/hr - $38.00/hr
- Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
