Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapy Exam Tutor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in occupational therapy and education to prepare aspiring professionals for their licensing exam. Your energetic approach will inspire confidence and motivate students to achieve their best, ensuring they master the knowledge and skills necessary for success. This is an independent contractor, fee-for- service position with the possibility of becoming part-time that offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on future occupational therapists while honing your teaching talents.
Timisha Tutoring is a holistic coaching and exam prep company built to help future occupational therapy practitioners pass the NBCOT® exam with confidence. Founded by Timisha Tross, a COTA with over a decade of experience. She has built a proven system for NBCOT® preparation through our cohort-based program, private 1:1 tutoring, and other resources.
Timisha started Timisha Tutoring after seeing too many capable students walk away from the profession because no one had ever taught them how to actually study to pass the NBCOT®. What began as a way to support OTA students has grown into more than a tutoring business; it’s a holistic coaching experience, taking into account each learner.
We are now expanding to support occupational therapy students, not just occupational therapy assistant students, utilizing the same methodology, the same care for every student, and the same high standards for our team. This role is for an experienced OT who will help lead that new arm of our work. This candidate must be open to participating in social media marketing and program development when the time arises.

- Deliver private 1:1 NBCOT® exam prep tutoring sessions for OT students
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials tailored to diverse learning styles and educational needs
- Utilize innovative learning technologies to enhance understanding and retention of complex topics
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, practice exams, and feedback sessions
- Foster a positive online environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and confidence building
- Collaborate with students to identify areas for improvement and provide personalized guidance for exam readiness
- Learn and apply the Timisha Tutoring coaching philosophy with every student
- Build personalized study plans, review practice questions, and walk students through clinical reasoning
- Track student progress and stay in consistent communication between sessions
- Willing to participate in Timisha Tutoring's social media platforms
- Collaborate with our existing team of instructor(s)
- Represent the Timisha Tutoring brand professionally in every student-facing and public-facing interaction

- Skilled in curriculum development and lesson planning
