About Us

FlashPCB is a US-based rapid PCB prototyping service located in Philadelphia. We use AI and smart software to eliminate the traditional set-up time and costs in the PCB manufacturing process. We give our customers the power to create, innovate, and experiment with their PCBA designs. We provide instant checkout of assembled PCBs with very short lead time.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced soldering technician to work full-time on-site soldering electronic components onto board assemblies, using both our SMT line and hand soldering tools. This role requires strong soldering skills and demonstrated attention to detail, including proficiency with through-hole and surface mount soldering as well as SMT reworks.

Duties and Responsibilities

Soldering through-hole and SMT electrical components onto PCB assemblies
Interpret and work from technical documents like schematics, drawings, bills of material, or other oral or written instructions
Perform light mechanical assembly and machine maintenance
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment

Technical Qualifications

SMT soldering and rework proficiency required
Through-hole soldering proficiency required
IPC certification preferred
Windows OS and basic Microsoft Office skills required

Skills Required

Demonstrated precision and attention to detail
Ability to closely follow instructions, processes, and procedures
High aptitude for learning
Strong communication skills

Compensation

$23-$30 per hour

FlashPCB is a small, rapidly growing technology company funded through the National Science Foundation’s SBIR program. Our mission is to become the fastest and easiest-to-use PCB assembly shop in the United States. We are constantly improving our manufacturing processes and developing new technology to streamline PCB assembly for our customers.

Our facility is located in the same building as NextFab in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood. We are also conveniently located within walking distance of the Market–Frankford Line Berks Station.
