Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Your expertise will help maintain the financial health of our organization by managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and handling complex reconciliations. The ideal candidate is passionate about accounting, possesses strong technical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's growth while honing your professional skills in a collaborative setting. This position requires managing 6-7 entities, the largest of which is a health care clinic.

Duties

Manage full cycle bookkeeping processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations using various financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Workday
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and applicable governmental accounting standards
Perform detailed account analysis and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger
Record journal entries accurately for all financial transactions including debits & credits while adhering to internal controls such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and double entry bookkeeping to maintain data integrity across multiple accounting systems like PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro or similar platforms
Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism while managing data entry tasks efficiently
Support budgeting activities and assist with financial data analysis using Excel data analysis techniques to inform strategic decision-making

Skills

Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, or similar platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
Strong understanding of GAAP principles along with governmental and corporate accounting standards
Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and experience implementing internal controls
Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or UltiPro; experience managing accounts payable/receivable processes including customer service aspects
Ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries and account analysis accurately and efficiently
Excellent numeracy skills coupled with a solid foundation in math for accurate bookkeeping and financial calculations
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high attention to detail
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment involving multiple accounting systems such as PeopleSoft or Kronos
