Full Job Description

Job Summary – Part-Time CT Technologist

We are seeking a dependable, patient-focused Part-Time CT Technologist to join our private outpatient preventative imaging center. The ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic CT images (without contrast) in a comfortable, efficient outpatient setting. This role requires excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiologists and the healthcare team.

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography examinations in accordance with established imaging protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout the imaging process. Additional responsibilities include accurately documenting patient information, executing heart calcium scores, maintaining imaging equipment, adhering to radiation safety standards, and supporting the center's commitment to outstanding customer service and clinical excellence.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R); CT certification (CT) preferred or required, depending on state regulations.
Current state licensure, if applicable.
Current BLS certification.
Minimum of one year of CT experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for CT procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety
Operate CT imaging equipment efficiently, adhering strictly to radiation safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines
Maintain accurate documentation of imaging procedures and patient information in compliance with healthcare regulation
Assist with diagnostic evaluations by capturing high-quality images necessary for precise interpretation
Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize imaging protocols based on patient physiology and clinical requirements
Requirements
Proven experience operating CT scanners with knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles
Preferred experience in heart calcium scoring or willing to train
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging
Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration
