Pediatric OT in Slidell: Real autonomy in an outpatient clinic, not hospital-system bureaucracy

Independent, well-supported pediatric OT roles are rare. This one’s real, and it’s open.

Southern Physical Therapy Clinic is growing its pediatric occupational therapy caseload in Slidell, LA into a full-time seat. If you want genuine clinical independence inside a smaller, connected practice instead of getting buried in a big system, this is worth a conversation.

About Southern Physical Therapy Clinic

Southern is an outpatient private practice founded in 2019 with two locations (Picayune, MS and Slidell, LA) and about 25 team members. We treat patients across the lifespan under one roof with three disciplines: physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech. We believe good care starts with a team that actually likes working together.

About the Role

Our pediatric OT caseload in Slidell has grown enough to graduate from part-time into a full-time seat. You’ll build and run that caseload with real independence, supported by a small, tight-knit team instead of layers of administration.

What You’ll Do

Evaluate and treat a pediatric outpatient caseload in Slidell with real autonomy over how you practice
Shape and grow the program toward a typical full-time caseload of ~50–55 visits/week
Collaborate daily with PT and Speech colleagues under one roof
Participate in a no-gossip, talk-directly culture that holds a high standard from a place of support

What You’ll Get

Compensation

Flexible per-visit or hourly structure
Up to $50–$52/hour all-in at the top of the range, plus a production bonus above your baseline
$3,000 sign-on / relocation bonus

Schedule & Lifestyle

Full-time, Monday–Friday ideal
Flexible to 32–36 hours/week for the right person
Based in Slidell, on-site only, no remote days

Basic Requirements

Active or eligible OT license in Louisiana
Comfortable working toward a typical full-time caseload of ~50–55 visits/week
Pediatric experience strongly preferred

Nice-to-Haves

Existing pediatric specialty certifications
Comfort learning a new EMR quickly (training provided)
Interest in building out a specific pediatric specialty program
