The OVERNIGHT Housekeeping - Caregiver Position at Georgia Living Center:

This position has opportunities for extra shift pick-ups & extra hours*

Shift Opening:

THREE (3) Overnights per week: 7:00 pm - 5:00 am, Mon/Tues/Wed

*Must be able to get criminal background check. Please be prepared to come for an in-person interview.

A Resident Assistant on 3rd shift (overnight) is largely responsible for:

- Giving nighttime medications.

- Cleaning and preparation for the staff and residents for the following day (minimal caregiving compared to day shift, as residents sleep).

This is a simple yet essential job. Staff are responsible for medication management, housekeeping duties (sweeping, mopping, sanitation, etc.), and laundry.

No prior experience required, but always welcome (great entry-level position).

* For these positions:

No CNA or similar qualifications necessary. Only CPR/First Aid, background check, and employee physical/TB test, upon confirmed hire.

Ideal Qualifications:

- Be at least 18 years of age

- Willingness to adhere to facility rules

- Punctual: can show up for shifts on time

- People person that works well with others

- Reliable transportation

- Willingness to be firm with residents when necessary, and set professional boundaries

- Consistent work ethic with attention to detail

- Great communication when problems arise, personal or professional

- High School Diploma or GED

Georgia Living Center is a Personal Care Home located in Downtown, Tallapoosa, Georgia. Re-opened in 2019 under new management. Unlike a nursing home, we take in residents who are considered more independent, and are of various ages and abilities. We are a non-medical facility, without doctors or nurses on staff.

A Resident Assistant is a caregiver that assists residents with various tasks throughout the day. Resident Assistants are trained to pass medications, but not provide medical care beyond activities of daily living (we are NOT an assisted living facility).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $10.25 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
