Full Job Description

Compass Behavioral Center of Marksville/Alexandria is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing!

We are looking for a professional who shares our commitment to providing quality treatment through teamwork and integrity.

The Assistant DON is an integral part of the hospital administration team and is responsible for the following: shall act as an active member of the interdisciplinary team conducting at least, but not necessarily limited to; assessment and screening, development of nursing impressions and recommendations, treatment planning and treatment plan reviews, participation in team conferences, case management, discharge planning and placement, intake and referral and other clinical duties. Responsible for coordinating, planning, and evaluating services in area of responsibility utilizing participative management skills. Facilitates the delivery of quality patient care through patient care areas. Contributes to the Nursing department and hospital through support of the philosophy and objectives of the professional psychiatric unit. Will work under the guidance of the Director or Nursing.

A qualified candidate will possess a valid RN license. Previous psychiatric experience is preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience doing utilization reviews.
