MAJOR OBJECTIVE:
It is expected that the plants, materials and/or equipment is delivered and transported safely, efficiently, and in a well communicated manner. Working safely with no accidents while being effective is key to this role. All paperwork, timesheets, logs, mileage books and any other required paperwork should be filled out in a timely fashion. The paperwork keeps Goodmark legal and is just as important as driving safely. Operating a clean, organized and well cared for truck creates a brand image that we take pride in what we do and makes maintenance easier for the mechanics. In addition, any issues that arise on Pre/Post trip inspections must be reported immediately to the shop.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
¨ Transport plants, materials and/or equipment by truck and trailer between facilities, to customers, to job sites, and to or from vendors.
¨ Complete accurate and timely DOT paperwork, including timesheets, logs, work orders, and other documents that are required. Turn paperwork into your manager on a timely basis.
¨ Conduct daily truck/trailer pre and post trip inspections per DOT regulations to assure equipment is adequately cared for and safe to operate.
¨ Responsible for the proper maintenance and cleanliness of your truck, trailer and equipment.
¨ Load and unload materials/equipment as needed.
¨ Keep your Manager informed of progress and problems on the job.
¨ Establish and maintain a good working relationship with your manager, internal and external customers.
¨ Assist with effective allocation of equipment and assure that it is adequately cared and accounted for (inventoried).
¨ Maintain and be responsible for accurate inventories (chains, straps, tarps)
¨ Follow all Company policies and procedures and safety rules.
¨ Complete incident report paperwork within 24 hours of any accident or property damage. Assist with accident investigation, property damage inspections, prevention discussions.
¨ Follow through on daily and weekly assignments set by your manager. Assist with projects as needed.
¨ Ensure quality of work being performed according to Goodmark standards.
¨ Organize equipment, materials and labor to efficiently complete projects set by your manager.
¨ Use independent judgment to develop creative solutions to problems that may arise in the course of a workday.
¨ Responsible for safety compliance.
¨ Must have the ability to lift at least 60 pounds.
REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
¨ The ability to communicate in English. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
¨ Familiarity with plant materials.
¨ Must be available to work full time and any over time as necessary and informed by manager.
PREREQUISITES:
¨ Possess class CDL A license with air brakes endorsement and intrastate; be able to pass DOT random drug & alcohol screens and medical exams.
¨ Must be able to operate manual transmission truck
¨ Demonstrated ability to drive all Company truck and trailer combinations.
¨ Demonstrated ability to operate a skidsteer.
¨ Must have and keep a good driving record.
