Full Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Per Diem Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) position is available for a 4 to 8-week assignment within a mail order medical equipment environment. This role requires a licensed California PIC to provide essential oversight until the permanent Pharmacist in Charge obtains their California licensure. Although the position allows for remote work, proximity to the facility is necessary for occasional onsite presence.

Arroyo Grande, CA

Schedule/Hours:

Per Diem
Guaranteed minimum of 11 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Serve as the licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) in compliance with California regulations
Oversee pharmacy operations remotely with readiness to attend the facility as needed
Ensure all practices adhere to state and federal laws related to pharmacy and medical equipment distribution
Maintain communication with staff and regulatory bodies during the transition period

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Active California Pharmacist license with PIC authority
Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge preferred
Familiarity with mail order pharmacy operations and medical equipment distribution
Ability to manage remote responsibilities efficiently and respond to onsite needs promptly

This role offers a flexible work arrangement with a guaranteed minimum number of weekly hours, ideal for candidates seeking a short-term commitment while maintaining active California licensure. The agreement for this position is currently in process.
