Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Pastry <PERSON>, where your passion for baking and pastry arts will shine! In this role, you will craft exquisite baked goods, desserts, and pastries that delight our customers and elevate our food offerings. Your expertise in pastry preparation, cake decorating, and food handling will be essential to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talent in a fast-paced, high-volume environment committed to excellence and innovation.

Duties

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and other confections following established recipes and standards
Decorate cakes and desserts with precision using various cake decorating techniques to create visually appealing products
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and other baking tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety management protocols
Package finished products carefully for storage or delivery while ensuring quality control
Assist in food production processes for catering events or large orders, adhering to recipe specifications and portion sizes
Support food handling procedures to ensure safety standards are met throughout all stages of pastry preparation

Skills

Proven experience in pastry preparation and baking within a high-volume food production setting
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in operating kitchen equipment used in baking and pastry work
Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in baked goods
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion control
Exceptional customer service skills to assist with special requests or product inquiries when needed
