Interim Lead Direct Support Professional (Interim Lead DSP)

Residential Crisis Programs | Sacramento Area

Advance Kids is seeking compassionate, professional, and motivated Interim Lead Direct Support Professionals, to support and grow our residential crisis programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a` leadership role for experienced DSPs who are ready to mentor others, uphold clinical and regulatory standards, and play an active role in the daily lives of the individuals we serve. It is ideal for candidates who are passionate about leadership, team development, and delivering high-quality ABA-informed care in residential settings.

Position Details

Position: Interim Lead DSP
Schedules: 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 10pm to 6am
Locations: Rio Linda, Orangevale, or Shingle Springs
Must be willing to work at Shingle Springs upon request
Pay Range: $21.00–$26.50/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and mentor DSPs during assigned shifts
Identify training needs and provide coaching to support staff development
Actively participate in residents’ daily routines, including:
Appointments and outings
Medication coordination
Meal planning and preparation
Household organization and upkeep
Guide DSPs in the implementation of treatment plans, company policies, and state regulations
Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to safety, clinical, and regulatory standards
Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and the home
Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and compassionate care

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of supervisory experience
At least 6 months of experience implementing ABA with individuals who have developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days of hire
