Company Description Mortgage Markets CUSO, LLC, is a credit union service organization focused on keeping mortgage relationships within the credit union system. The company provides mortgage lending services and advanced fintech capabilities to credit unions and realtor partners, helping them strengthen member relationships and grow their mortgage business. Mortgage Markets CUSO offers a broad range of products, including traditional Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans, first-time homebuyer programs, FHA and CHFA products, VA loans, and rural development loans. The organization retains servicing on all Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans, supported by a seasoned secondary market analysis team. With consistently high member satisfaction scores and a 99% referral rate, service excellence is central to its mission.

Role Description This is a full-time, remote, Inside/Outside Mortgage Loan Originator role based in the Greater Hartford area. The Mortgage Loan Originator will work directly with consumers, credit union partners and relators to originate residential mortgage loans, including gathering and analyzing borrower information, pre-qualifying applicants, and recommending appropriate loan products. This role involves guiding borrowers through the entire loan process, from application to closing, while ensuring compliance with internal policies, secondary market guidelines, and regulatory requirements. The Inside/Outside Mortgage Loan Originator will collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to move files efficiently through the pipeline and proactively communicate status updates to members and partners. The role also includes developing and maintaining strong relationships with credit union staff, real estate professionals, and other referral sources to generate new business and support organizational growth.

Qualifications

Strong mortgage lending expertise, including experience with Mortgage Lending, Loan Origination, and various residential loan products.
Solid understanding of credit, income, and collateral analysis, with familiarity in Underwriting principles and secondary market guidelines.
Working knowledge of Loans and Finance fundamentals, including debt-to-income ratios, interest rates, and risk assessment.
Effective communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills to support members, credit union partners, and realtor relationships.
Proficiency with loan origination systems, document management tools, and general office software.
Ability to manage a pipeline, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
NMLS registration in good standing and any required state mortgage loan originator licenses.
Previous experience in mortgage origination within a credit union, bank, or mortgage company is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is a plus.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
