Swiss-Lathe Machinist

Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $28.00–$35.00/hour + 10% Shift Differential
Schedule: B-Shift | Monday – Thursday | 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM

What You'll Do

As a Level III CNC Machinist, you'll play a key role in producing precision-machined components while ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuous production.

Responsibilities include:

Operate multi-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision components.
Troubleshoot machine, setup, and process issues to minimize downtime.
Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T requirements.
Monitor machine performance and maintain consistent quality throughout production.
Maintain equipment and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Follow quality standards, production procedures, and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with production teams to meet manufacturing goals and deadlines.

What We're Looking For

Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience.
Experience operating multi-axis CNC equipment.
Previous experience with Swiss-style, Mill/Turn, or Gantry-style machines is preferred.
Experience operating Murata and/or Star machinery is a plus.
Strong understanding of production processes and machining best practices.
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Dependable with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to stand and work throughout a full production shift.
