Full Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Join a specialized pharmacy team as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Irving, TX, committed to delivering high-quality home infusion therapy. This 13-week contract role requires a proactive candidate ready to start immediately, focused on individualized patient care and medication safety.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients for eligibility of home infusion therapy and coordinate care plans accordingly.
Develop, monitor, and adjust medication therapy utilizing clinical assessments, lab results, and pharmacokinetic principles.
Prepare, verify, and dispense sterile medications following USP standards and regulatory guidelines.
Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on medication regimens and infusion techniques.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and monitor patient outcomes.
Manage infusion devices and maintain quality assurance in medication administration.
Provide accurate drug information, maintain documentation, and support compliance with safety initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Texas.
Minimum of one year of sterile IV compounding experience, or equivalent experience such as non-sterile compounding, immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE).
Strong clinical knowledge of home infusion pharmacy practices.
Skilled in interpreting laboratory values and applying pharmacokinetic principles.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to counsel patients and provide outstanding customer service.
