Full Job Description

Advanced Interiors, are currently seeking a professional that aspires to grow and reach their potential as a Commercial Construction Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our talented growing team.

Responsibilites:

Applicants are required to be proficient in QuickBooks Premier Plus. Contractors Edition Desktop Version.
Manages all project-related financial records: including specialized tasks like AIA billing, job costing, lien waivers, and subcontractor payments.
Tracking: of labor, materials, and overhead, maintain cash flow, and prepare financial reports to keep projects within budget.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Processing vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and issuing AIA progress billings to clients.
Construction-Specific Compliance: Managing lien waivers, retainage tracking, and subcontractor insurance certificates.
Payroll: Managing weekly payroll for field staff, including certified payroll reports if required.
Financial Reporting & Reconciliation: Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and preparing monthly financial statements (balance sheet, P&L).
Cash Flow Management: Monitoring cash flow and preparing loan draw requests.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Software Proficiency: Proficient with QuickBooks Premier Plus Contractors Edition
Education: Most accountant-level roles require a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; bookkeeping roles may accept an Associate degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Typically 3–5 years of experience specifically within the construction or project-based industry.
Analytical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) for advanced cost modeling and budget variance analysis.
