Join Our Team!

Champlain Spine and Pain Management is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable full-time Medical Receptionist to join our growing practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience while helping our office run smoothly.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates professionally, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service
Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
Document cancellations, no-shows, and same-day cancellations
Maintain accurate patient records and demographic information
Collect copays and outstanding patient balances
Communicate scheduling changes with providers and staff
Perform general administrative and clerical duties
Assist with office supply inventory and organization
Attend required staff meetings and training sessions
Follow all Champlain Spine and Pain Management policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist or patient registrar (required)
Minimum of 1 year of experience with medical terminology (required)
Minimum of 1 year of experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (required)
Strong computer and data entry skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office
Professional, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Skills

Experience working in a medical office or specialty practice
Basic math skills for processing patient payments
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Physical Requirements

Primarily seated and standing office work
Occasional bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance, if required

Schedule

Full-time
Monday–Friday
Day shift
8-hour shifts
