Full Job Description

Overview
As the Medical Office Receptionist, you will perform day-to-day operations under the direct supervision of the physician. Your role will involve promoting efficient patient flow, ensuring data accuracy in our systems, and supporting administrative and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

· Greet patients and visitors in person.

· Check in and check out patients for appointments, obtaining necessary data and preparing for visits.

· Answer multi-line telephone calls, direct callers, and handle nonclinical triage.

· Check, triage, and respond to overnight voicemails and patient portal inquiries.

· Accurately process patient registration and maintain patient accounts, scan paper documentation into the system.

· Schedule patient appointments and ensure smooth patient flow; Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments

· Provide support and guidance to patients, including assisting with forms and documentation.

· Collect and process patient payments.

· Maintain the reception area, stock forms, and office supplies.

· Perform opening and closing procedures, facilitate practice marketing, and safeguard patient privacy.

· Manage patient records and comply with legal and privacy requirements.

Skills

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy.
Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal communication abilities.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to quality patient care through administrative support. The successful candidate will be integral in providing compassionate service to patients.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
