We are looking for a Professional Carpet Cleaning & Air Duct Cleaning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, has a willingness to learn, enjoys working with customers, and is committed to providing professional, high-quality service.
Job Description:
As a Professional Carpet Cleaning Technician, you will provide professional cleaning services for residential and commercial customers. Carpet cleaning will be the primary focus of this position, with additional services including upholstery, tile and grout, hard-surface, and air duct cleaning.
The technician will inspect each job, determine the appropriate cleaning methods and treatments, and safely operate professional cleaning equipment. They will communicate effectively with customers, establish clear expectations, and ensure each job is completed safely, thoroughly, and according to company standards while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction in residential and commerical settings.
Responsibilities:
Cleaning Services
- Perform professional carpet cleaning, extraction, stain treatment, and specialty cleaning services.
- Clean upholstery, tile and grout, hard surfaces, and air duct systems as trained.
- Inspect carpets and other surfaces to determine the appropriate cleaning method and identify areas requiring special attention, while addressing specific customer needs and preferences.
- Properly identify and treat a variety of stains and soiling conditions.
- Safely use cleaning products, chemicals, and professional equipment according to company procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Apply carpet protectants, pet treatments, and other specialty treatments when appropriate.
- Follow applicable IICRC standards and industry best practices.
Customer Service & Quality
- Provide friendly, professional, and respectful service to every customer.
- Communicate clearly with customers about the cleaning process, expected results, and any areas requiring special attention.
- Answer customer questions and address concerns professionally.
- Explain additional services and treatments when appropriate while educating customers and providing guidance on carpet maintenance and setting realistic expectations.
- Take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality results.
Documentation
- Accurately document job details, services performed, customer requests, and additional recommendations.
- Take before-and-after photos when required.
- Complete required job documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate important job information or concerns with office staff and management.
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance
- Properly operate and maintain professional cleaning and extraction equipment.
- Clean and inspect equipment after each use and report any damage or malfunction.
- Keep company vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies clean, organized, and professional.
- Ensure necessary equipment and supplies are ready before each job.
- Promptly report any vehicle or equipment damage, malfunctions, or safety concerns to office staff and management.
Safety & Professional Standards
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly handle and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Protect customers' homes, businesses, furniture, flooring, and personal property while performing services.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Rocky Mountain Cleaning & Restoration.
Teamwork & Professional Development
- Work effectively with other technicians, office staff, and management.
- Communicate regarding schedules, customer needs, and job status.
- Participate in company training and continuing education.
- Stay current with cleaning techniques, equipment, products, and industry standards.
- Be willing to learn additional services and grow within the company.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous professional carpet cleaning experience preferred.
- Knowledge of carpet fibers, stain identification, and appropriate cleaning techniques, with an understanding of upholstery, tile and grout, hard-surface, and air duct cleaning is preferred.
- Certification's in carpet cleaning is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and operate heavy professional cleaning equipment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings for on-call rotation, commerical jobs, or customer bids.
