Full Job Description

Location: Montana (assignments lasting 8 weeks)
Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday with potential weekend and overtime hours
Weekly Hours: Typically 40–60 hours

About the Role

The Civil Crew Lead is responsible for leading and executing all civil scope on telecom tower sites from start to finish.

This is a field leadership role. You will run the site, manage the crew, coordinate with Construction Managers and Project Managers, and ensure safe, on-time execution.

Scope of Work Includes

Site clearing and grading
Excavation and trenching
Foundation layout and anchor bolt setting
Rebar installation and concrete pours
Ground ring and grounding systems
Equipment pads
Compound development (fencing, gravel, access roads)
Underground conduit installation
Site restoration and cleanup

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

Lead and supervise civil crew members
Conduct daily JHAs and safety meetings
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
Maintain production pace aligned with schedule

Execution

Read and interpret engineered drawings
Ensure accurate foundation layout and bolt placement
Coordinate inspections and concrete deliveries
Maintain high-quality workmanship standards
Communicate weather delays, change orders, or site issues proactively

Equipment & Asset Management

Oversee use of excavators, skid steers, trenchers, compactors
Perform daily equipment inspections
Protect company vehicle, tools, and materials

Administrative

Submit accurate daily reports and timesheets
Provide site progress photos
Support project closeout documentation

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience as a Civil Crew Lead (telecom preferred)
Strong experience with telecom tower foundation builds
Ability to read engineered drawings and foundation specs
Experience with anchor bolt templates and rebar layout
OSHA 30 required
Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
Ability to travel and work 8-week rotations
Ability to operate heavy equipment
Must be able to work in outdoor conditions in PNW market

Rotation Structure

8 weeks on project (market dependent)
Approved time off between rotations
Travel benefits provided per company policy
