We are currently looking for experienced Residential HVAC Service Technicians with 4+ years of hands-on service experience, excluding apprenticeship or helper experience.
This is not an entry-level or apprentice position. We are looking for technicians who are confident running residential service calls independently, diagnosing system failures, troubleshooting complex HVAC issues, completing repairs, and communicating solutions professionally with homeowners.

What You'll Do
As an HVAC Service Technician, you'll be trusted to manage residential service calls independently from diagnosis through completion.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential HVAC system failures accurately and efficiently.
- Perform repairs on residential air-conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical components, motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, refrigerant issues, airflow problems, and other system components.
- Use gauges, meters, diagnostic tools, and manufacturer specifications to identify the root cause of system problems.
- Service and troubleshoot traditional and modern residential HVAC equipment, including variable-speed and inverter-driven systems.
- Explain findings clearly and professionally to homeowners.
- Present repair, replacement, indoor air quality, efficiency, and system upgrade options when appropriate.
- Provide accurate estimates and recommendations based on the customer's system and needs.
- Complete service documentation, photos, notes, and required checklists accurately.
- Follow manufacturer specifications, local codes, safety procedures, and company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, leadership, and customers throughout the service process.
- Participate in ongoing technical, customer service, and professional development training.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 4+ years of hands-on residential HVAC service experience.
- Apprenticeship, helper, or HVAC school experience does not count toward the 4-year service requirement.
- Proven ability to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting, refrigeration cycles, airflow, controls, and system performance.
- Experience using HVAC diagnostic tools and meters in the field.
- Ability to confidently run residential service calls from start to finish without direct supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings.
- Ability to safely lift approximately 50–75 lbs. and work in attics, outdoors, and other residential environments.
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and field-service software.
REQUIRED:
- 4+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
- Experience troubleshooting inverter and variable-speed systems.
- Experience with multiple residential equipment brands.
- Strong history of repair conversion, customer education, and presenting appropriate system solutions.
