Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and service-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer service, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring every guest receives exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude during check-in and check-out.
Process reservations, room assignments, payments, and billing accurately.
Answer and direct phone calls while providing information about the hotel, amenities, and local attractions.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, questions, and concerns.
Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain accurate guest records and perform data entry using the property's hotel management system.
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily balancing procedures.
Assist guests with special requests whenever possible.
Ensure the front desk, lobby, and work area remain clean, organized, and professional.
Follow hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel front desk, hospitality, customer service, or a similar role preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Comfortable working with computer systems and hotel property management systems (PMS); experience with OnQ or similar software is a plus.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Skills

Outstanding customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Team player with a positive, guest-focused attitude.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and hotel management systems.
