Job Overview

Morning baker

La Maison at Wellen Park is looking for a baker with experience specifically working in a bakery or pastry role, strong organization skills, cake decorating, weights and measures, bread baking, ability to multi task and show flexibility during high volume periods, ability to interact with guests and fellow coworkers and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities include; preparing morning pastries, breakfast sandwiches, desserts, breads, tarts, decorating while maintaining a clean and organized workstation, keeping sanitation and safety as the highest priority, preparing items according to proper recipe and portion size, interacting with guests in a professional, friendly and courteous manner and always striving for total guest satisfaction.

Duties

Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections, adhering strictly to recipes and quality standards
Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic flair using various piping techniques, fondant, and other decorating tools
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
Handle food ingredients responsibly, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed
Assist in food preparation tasks for catering events or high-volume restaurant service
Support the team in maintaining consistent product quality through recipe adherence and precise measurements
Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues and providing excellent customer service when needed

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
