Wirtz Manufacturing is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to run and maintain our Hurco milling and/or turning centers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Hurco conversational programming and control systems, takes pride in producing high-precision parts, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Hurco CNC mills/lathes to produce parts to print, including multi-part set ups
- Write, edit and run Hurco conversational and/or G-code programs, including new programs from scratch and on-the-fly offset adjustments
- Read blueprints, GD&T, and work orders to plan tooling, fixturing, and machining sequence, then select and install accordingly

Inspect parts in-process which precision measuring tools and troubleshooting alarms, tooling, or program errors to maintain quality and cycle time
- Perform routine machine upkeep, maintain production and quality records, and follow safety protocols in clean, organized work area
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience; direct experience running Hurco controls strongly preferred

Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)

Basic understanding of Hurco conversational programming and/or G & M code

High school diploma or equivalent; machining certificate or trade school training a plus
