Technical Sales Support Manager (HVAC / ERV)

Location: Waunakee, WI 53597 (On-site / Occasional Travel)

We are seeking a Technical Sales Support Manager to lead and elevate our inside sales and technical support functions across residential and commercial HVAC markets. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape strategy, develop talent, and directly influence the customer experience.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

As our Technical Sales Support Manager, you will lead a high-performing team to deliver expert application support and optimize processes. Your core focus areas include:

Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and develop the Technical Sales Support (TSS) team to drive accountability and service excellence.
Technical Escalation: Act as the primary escalation point for complex HVAC technical issues, application support, and product selection.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to align on customer needs and support New Product Development (NPD).
Operations & Inside Sales: Oversee order accuracy, technical documentation, CRM case management, and ERP utilization.
After-Sales Support: Manage the RMA (Return Material Authorization) process, warranty support, and root cause analysis.
Channel Enablement: Deliver technical training, ventilation workshops, and support trade shows or industry events.

What You Bring (Requirements)

Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: 6+ years of leadership experience in technical support, application engineering, or the HVAC industry.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of HVAC systems, psychrometrics, system sizing, and ERV applications.
Channel Support: Proven success supporting distributors, contractors, engineers, and external sales teams.
Systems: Proficiency with CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and ERP systems.
Screening: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred:

Prior leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
